The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for Deputy Sheriff.  Applicants must have Nebraska Law Enforcement certification.  Applicants must be at least 21 years of age; have a valid Nebraska driver’s license; a high school diploma or GED; no felony or serious misdemeanor convictions that would compromise the moral character of a law enforcement officer; and be able to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.  All applicants will be subject to a thorough background check.  Deputy Sheriff starting salary range is $52,020 to $74,651 dependent upon the number of years of service.   Benefits include full time pay, individual health insurance, access to vision, dental, life and disability insurance, subsidized family health insurance, paid vacation and sick leave, employer matched-retirement, take home vehicles and furnished uniforms.
