2024 Delinquent Tax List

The following is the Buffalo County 2024 delinquent tax list.  It includes parcel identification numbers to facilitate property research.

The following is the Buffalo County 2024 delinquent tax list.  On Wednesday, February 28th, 2024, we will place an updated list of available properties on the Buffalo County website in descending dollar order.  Everyone who attends the Buffalo County tax sale MUST use the updated list.

Preregistration will begin Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at the Buffalo County Treasurer’s Office.  We advise everyone to preregister for the sale.  We will limit the purchase of bid numbers to 25 per company/individual.

To register, we require $25.00 per bid number, non-refundable, a signed W-9 and a completed registration form listing the buyer’s name and contact information.  Random bid numbers will be drawn at time of registration.

The sale will begin at 9:00 at the Buffalo County Courthouse on Monday, March 4th, 2024.  Buyers will need to leave a blank check with the Treasurer’s Office.  There is a $20.00 fee per tax sale certificate purchased.  After we process the tax sale certificates, we will send the buyer copies of the check, copies of the certificates and paid tax receipts.  We prefer to hold the original certificates in our office for quicker redemption processing.

The 2024 Tax Sale buyers check in at the Buffalo County Treasurer’s before the sale.  We will allow companies and individuals to purchase up to 25 bid numbers, but request only 1 person attend the sale regardless of bid numbers purchased.  We can advise you how you can make this work.
