Buffalo County Jail Deputy

The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a Jail Deputy.  Applicants must be at least 21 years of age; have a valid Nebraska driver’s license; a high school diploma or GED; no felony or serious misdemeanor convictions; be able to read, write and understand the English language; and be able to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.  Nebraska certification is preferred but not mandatory.  Non-certified applicants must be able to meet the NLETC qualification standards for certification. All applicants will be subject to a thorough background check.  Hourly pay, $25.26-$40.19, dependent upon the number of years of service.  Benefits include full time pay, shift differential and premium pay for specialized duties, individual health insurance, access to vision, dental, life and disability insurance, subsidized family health insurance, paid vacation and sick leave, employer matched-retirement, take home vehicles and furnished uniforms.
