This position requires a highly responsible applicant.
Professional administrative work and coordinating with the County Clerk, office
staff and county Employees. Maintain a dependable and trustworthy relationship with
the County Clerk.
Work involves oversight and data entry required for
paying monthly claims and biweekly payroll. Ability to complete necessary tax
forms correctly and timely. Assist all
county employees with their benefits. Issue marriage licenses and other general office duties. The qualified
candidate will have an understanding of the overall operations of the county clerk
office. The deputy may have to attend and take minutes for the county
commissioner’s bi-monthly meetings. They
will also serve as lead/supervision for the office functions and staff in the
Clerks absence. Starting wage $22.00.

- Desired skills include knowledge/ability to learn:AS400, Microsoft 365, Adobe
Acrobat
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Payroll, 941 quarterly taxes, ACA and W2 knowledge
- The work requires a high level of discretion and often the use and handling of confidential information
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and in stressful situations
- Strong communication and organizational skills. Acute attention to detail
- Ability to contribute to a respectful workplace culture
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
